Meetings can take any form from poker games to dinners out to shooting pool bowling or taking in a ballgame (The Rox on Brockton are a great deal). The group will set the agenda!!!
The annual JCC South Area Women’s Seder, a program of the Jewish Community Centers of Greater Boston, will be held on Thursday, March 18 at Temple Beth Emunah, 479 Torrey Street, Brockton. The Seder will feature songleader Cantor Sarra Spierer, musical accompaniment and the spiritual leadership of Rabbi Jodi Seewald Smith.
The Women’s Seder is an opportunity to share the story of Passover and a traditional holiday Seder (meal) in an uplifting and inspirational setting with women of all ages and backgrounds. The event begins at 5:30pm. Women from the entire community are invited.

Spouses and partners are invited to join Donna Atherton a Caregiver Coach/Life Coach and caregiver in a Talking Circle. We provide an supportive and safe place to share your commonalities like: frustration, anger, losing interest in activities, feeling resentful, short tempered, increase use of alcohol, drugs, cigarettes, withdrawn from social contacts, decrease productivity at work, exhaustion, feeling helpless, and guilt. Talking circles are not limited to a certain topic content; it is not a support group. Instead its purpose is to connect with other caregivers with similarities that concern caregivers. It is a place to meet and talk about Ã?Â"whatever you desireÃ?Â" while others listens without invasive interruption. If someone wishes to make a comment or express their thoughts it is limited to a faint grunt or noise through the nose. Negative comments are not allowed, especially when someone is speaking. The circle can go around several times so that everyone gets a chance to talk. Each person must wait their turn. Talking circles are safe environments and you should feel comfortable knowing that no one will interrupt or criticize you.
Based in Southern Oregon, wood sculptor Christian Burchard creates sensuous wall sculptures from Pacific Madrone root burls. Blocks of this wood are cut into thin panels that the artist sandblasts and bleaches into series entitled "Skins and "Torsos. The forms, with their undulations and textures, are supple and smooth, and bring to mind landscapes, maps and bodies.

A family event called Why Is This Night Different, to celebrate the Jewish holiday of Passover, will be held at the Fuller Craft Museum (455 Oak Street) in Brockton on Sunday, March 21 from 10-11:30am. Activities include a musical telling of the Passover story featuring musician Jon Nelson, creative Passover crafts, tips for making a child-friendly seder, and The PJ Library book corner.

Join Organizing for America for our 2010 Strategy Session in your area. The Strategy Sessions are a chance to talk with OFA staff and other volunteers in your area about our legislative and electoral plan for 2010. As an organization, we have come a long way in the past year. We have lessons to learn from the budget pledge drive, health insurance reform and the Massachusetts Senate Race. Now is the time to bring those lessons together and look forward to 2010. There are countless opportunities to create change in the coming year and we have an important role to play in making that happen. As a team, we will talk about how to be involved in creating change in our country, both legislatively and electorally. We will talk through national strategy and discuss together what that means for our local community.
